Tak Waterman Striper Ruler Catch & Release Contest 2024

Tak Waterman Striper Ruler Catch & Release Contest 2024

We’re excited to host the Striper Ruler Catch and Release Tournament, running from now until Thanksgiving 2024. This sustainability-focused event promotes responsible fishing and conservation, with simple rules and fantastic prizes for the top anglers.

How to Enter & Rules:

  1. Catch a Striped Bass – Whether from the surf or a boat, hook into your striped bass. The angler must hook and fight the fish alone; assistance is only allowed for netting, tailing, or leading the fish during landing.
  2. Measure Your Catch – Use your Tak Waterman Striped Bass Ruler to measure the fish. Ensure the ruler’s numbers and the entire length of the fish are clearly visible in the photo. Fish not photographed with clear measurements will be disqualified.
  3. Take a Photo – Snap a clear digital photo of your fish on the ruler. The entire fish and ruler markings must be visible. Unclear photos will result in disqualification.
  4. Revive and Release – Safely revive the fish and release it to support sustainable fishing. Only released fish will qualify for the tournament.
  5. Post on Instagram – Share your catch on Instagram, tagging @takwaterman and @takwatermansurfnfish to officially enter the tournament. Submissions must be posted by 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 1st, 2024.

Prizes for the Largest Fish:

The three anglers who submit the largest striped bass (by length) will win exclusive prizes from Tak Waterman. Other prizes from Tak Waterman and other top fishing brands will be awarded throughout the tournament.

Participation Requirements:

  • A cell phone for taking digital photos.
  • A Tak Waterman Striped Bass Ruler (purchased from Tak Waterman).

Release Agreement:

By purchasing a TAK Striped Bass Ruler and entering the tournament, the angler agrees to a General Release and Waiver of Liability. The angler releases Tak Waterman and all event sponsors from any liability for injuries, loss, or damage incurred during participation. The angler acknowledges the risks involved and assumes full responsibility for their participation.
